THE TEMPLE OF HICKS: A TRIBUTE TO ANOTHER DEAD PROPHET:

For 2008 the members of Camp Cohesion would like to commemorate the existence, wrinkling of space time, spotting of subconcious and cross boundaried dream states of several dead prophets.  We respectfully use as this figure head what some of Cohesion's members may argue is and was a coming of an avatar to a small hick village south of even where the redknecks roam: Mr. Bill Hicks (aka Bilbo Baggins of Hobbington).  For those unfamiliar, have a listen...though shocking at first...often initially misperceived as the ramblings of an unstable dythelmide soaked nog...thorough listening leaves one with the unmistakable inkling that this was  a man of pure and unparalleled love for his human condition and those that mired under the enforced toil of the Satanic, jewel encrusted, titans of modern industry.
Hicks is the voice of the underman, Hicks is the voice of coffee swillin' chain smoking, truck stop inhabiting reader who WILL NOT APOLOGIZE for mingling with the aliens in alternate dimensions.   The temple will be a simple iscocelese pyramid with a cigarette pack ante-room/entrance.  The pack, indeed not endorsing such poisonous habits, but a symbol of two things: 1. a man's quest for self mastery in the face of impending death 2. the endless and harmless cigarette he shares with Lenny Bruce in the holy Ether (Other)...this Temple is a place for reverence and the bestowing of gifts to the prophets who have made their passing.  We hope to include homages of the passing of some of the Cohesion's very own loved ones...we are all mostly dead, aren't we Bilbo?
